CompassMD is a Direct Primary Care practice — we don’t bill insurance. You pay a transparent, flat monthly fee for your care. Many patients find this saves them money by eliminating copays, surprise bills, and overpriced labs. Most of our patients keep a high-deductible insurance plan for emergencies and specialists.
No. CompassMD is a medical practice, not an insurance company. Your membership fee pays for direct access to your doctor and the care you receive in our office. It does not cover hospitalizations, specialists, emergency rooms, or imaging outside our practice. We recommend keeping a health insurance plan (many patients choose a high-deductible plan) for those situations.
The evaluation fee covers your comprehensive initial visit for ADHD, depression/anxiety, or GLP-1 weight loss. It’s a one-time fee for the intensive intake work. After your evaluation, your monthly membership starts based on your care plan — $75/mo for ADHD or depression/anxiety, $55/mo for other services. General primary care members don’t pay an evaluation fee.
That’s what the free intro call is for. Talk with Dr. Ferra, ask anything, and see if it’s a good fit — no commitment. Once you’re a member, there are no contracts. Cancel anytime.
Absolutely. Add any child for $30/month when a parent is enrolled. They get the same access — same-day visits, unhurried appointments, and a doctor who knows them by name.
Yes. No contracts and no cancellation fees. You can cancel anytime.
Yes. Your membership fee and evaluation fees are eligible HSA/FSA expenses. We provide documentation for reimbursement.
Dr. Ferra prescribes medications, orders labs and imaging at reduced cash-pay rates, and refers to specialists when needed — just like any primary care physician. The difference is you get real time and attention in the process.
DPC covers your primary care. For anything beyond that — specialists, ER visits, surgery, imaging — your insurance handles it the same way it always would. Dr. Ferra coordinates referrals and helps you navigate the system so you’re not doing it alone.
Concierge practices typically charge $2,000–$7,000 per year and still bill your insurance. CompassMD is $55/month with no insurance billing, no copays, and no surprise bills. You get the same direct access and unhurried visits at a fraction of the cost.
No. CompassMD is a brick-and-mortar practice in Wauwatosa at 10625 W North Ave, Suite 214. You see Dr. Ferra in person. Virtual visits are available when appropriate, but this is real, in-person primary care.
